I provide the following trainings:

*         Open Adoption; How to make it work for your family and your child’s birth family.

*         Open Adoption; Supporting your child’s self esteem.

*        Starting out in Adoption; Is it right for you?

*        Education and Adoption: How to help your child succeed and how to advocate for your child in the educational system.

*        How to support your child’s education and learning at home.

*        Culturally Competent Parenting; What to know and what to do when you’re a parent of a child of a different race, culture, ethnicity or color.

*        How to cultivate positive relationships with birth parents.

*        Building your support network.

*        Importance of rituals and celebrations in adoption and foster care and how to develop them.

*        Books and other resources available to improve your understanding of your child and increase the success of your family.

*        Gifts and Passions: Encourage and support positive self esteem in your child.

Participants will leave each workshop with:

• Solid reliable written resources.
• Up to date information and a recommended reading list.
• Books for participants to review during and after workshops

I offer two to four hour workshops, custom designed to address your needs and reach your goals. I use a unique system of pre-surveys to insure I address the specific interests of participants.
